DIESEL MECHANIC
MJD Excavating, Inc. is looking to add a new Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team! We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator at MJD, you will work on various job sites throughout the stages of construction while utilizing our assortment of equipment/machines. Our Heavy Equipment Operators work Monday-Friday, with possible overtime on Saturdays.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable member of our team. Our ideal candidate with have 5+ years' experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a valid and up-to-date 2A hoisting license, a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.
Responsibilities/Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to safely operate excavators, loaders, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, etc.
- Ability to read/interpret site plans.
- Perform site preparations, trenching, grading, etc.
- Perform basic equipment/machine maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures/protocols.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Communication skills.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects).
- Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, with possible overtime on Saturdays.

LABORER
MJD Excavating, Inc. is looking to add a new Excavation/Construction Laborer to our team! We are a family and veteran-owned company based out of Rehoboth, MA, with over 30 years of experience in both commercial and residential excavation.
As a Laborer at MJD, you will work on various residential and commercial job sites throughout the stages of construction. Our Laborers work Monday-Friday with possible overtime on Saturdays.
We are looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy individual with the drive to become a valuable member of our team. Our ideal candidate will have 2+ years' experience as a Laborer on construction job sites, have a valid and up-to-date driver's license, and a reliable vehicle.
Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Ability to read/interpret site plans.
- Follow safety protocols/procedures.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools/equipment.
- Work alongside others to complete daily tasks.
- Assist with site preparation and clean up.
- Troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Communication and listening skills.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Physical stamina required (i.e. ability to withstand heat, cold; ability to lift heavy objects; dig trenches; etc.).
- Highschool diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic.
This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position, with possible overtime on Saturdays.
